Wrong data coming from the AOA sensor might cause MCAS to trigger and push the nose down. Sadly MCAS was getting data from only one AOA sensors. To counter this effect which might result in a stall MCAS pushes the nose down. Due to the fact the 737 MAX is still based on the original models the larger engines needed to be placed further in front and higher up resulting in more lift and a higher pitch-up moment during high angle of attacks (AOA). This happened due to the Boeing 737 M AX's MCAS (Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System). Sadly the M AX is known for two crashes in which the plane pushed the nose down by itself. Good news if you love glass cokcpit, the 737 MAX's screen got even bigger. The 737-800 is the most popular and if you see a 737 it will most likely be and -800.
